My Journey To Tiny

Un…defining Re…designing

My home is on the market, finally; it’s quite liberating. You have to let go of it and look forward to your new adventure. Once strangers come and go through your house, your sanctuary has been violated. However it turns out, this is no longer your home. Ok, I’m going to make a few more trips to Goodwill ( they love to see me coming😀). Leaving you for now,

The Journey to Tiny

I fought(with myself) for more than six months. Looking around the house at all the THINGS neatly in place, too much space, looking into nobody’s face, is not what I want. God, please help me?

When I ask God to help me, HE always does. My task is to get myself out of my own way; Let Go and Let God. Ahh, Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus, just to take Him at His word.

SELL EVERYTHING YOU HAVE AND GIVE IT TO THE POOR…soft words in my ear

For the first time in my life, I argued with God. I said, “I understand the scriptures Lord, but that’s too hard”. I’m thinking, I couldn’t possible give away everything: furs, jewels, clothes (oh the clothes), art, furniture, household item, my new cookware, gifts, pictures of my Son and my Mom.

We’ll talk about it later, God.

My journey to tiny began
with challenging questions

Are you really sure you want to do it?

Can you do it?

The answers for me are: YES and Yes!

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

I’m about to do something Big!!!

Follow me on my journey to tiny.

Harvard Segregated Graduated…don’t be ridiculous!

Boy, it seems like ages since last I wrote. What the heck, it has been ages! A lot has happened (we’ll talk about that later); I’m bursting to talk about everything, but today I’m starting with a resurrected story from May 2017, that is being presented as current events in order to keep “you know what ” going.  So, I decided  to start  with this nonsense  of a segregated graduation at Harvard, which, for the record, is not true. From my understanding, Afro American students wanted to highlight the difficulty in getting admitted, studying and eventually graduating from a prestigious school. They wanted to highlight the fact that graduating  is difficult  even for students from affluent situations but, just that much more difficult for students who have been marginalized. The ceremony was intended to show others in similar situations, that if you too work hard and apply yourself, regardless of where you come from or what you look like, you can make it. It was that simple. Is that truly so hard to understand?

This Is MY Country

I was taught this song in “public School” and I remember the words to this day. This is my country; Land and of my birth!
This is my country; Grandest on earth!

NEW WORD

TrumPence- The amount of return on investment on a con job.

The very high price, not just monetarily, but personally, paid for something that’s worthless.

Trump Pence means “Fart Penny” over in the UK.

Any act of bewildering ignorance and/or nonsensical hatred

The slow feeling of regret after realization that a decision was a HUGE mistake.
